The best ManyChat alternatives for Instagram comment-to-DM (2026)
The best ManyChat alternative for Instagram comment-to-DM depends on what you need. ReplyRush has the cheapest paid plan and an Android app. LinkDM suits creators who want Live and ad-comment automation at a mid price, and CreatorFlow is the easy one to try first, with a 14-day trial on its paid plans. Comment Auto Reply, which is ours, is built for iPhone-first solo creators who want a flat price, but it is not on the App Store yet. And if you run Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger and email from one place, staying on ManyChat is often the right call.
Comment-to-DM is the automation behind "comment LINK and I'll DM you the link." Someone comments a keyword on your post or Reel, and a tool sends them a private message through Instagram's official API. Every tool below does that job. They differ on price, free plans and who they suit.
Why do people look for a ManyChat alternative?
Most people leave ManyChat over the bill, not the features. ManyChat charges by monthly active contacts, meaning every person you interact with in a month, and its paid plans add a per-contact overage once you pass your plan's allowance. For comment-to-DM, that means a Reel that takes off can push your bill up in the same month.
The other reason is the flow builder: a lot of tool to learn if all you want is "comment a word, get a link." The ManyChat alternative page walks through the per-contact math in detail, and the calculator shows what your own comment volume would cost.
How do the main ManyChat alternatives compare?
The short version: every alternative here uses flat tiers based on a monthly DM allowance, and all of them include comment-to-DM on the free plan. Starting paid prices range from $10 to $19 a month when billed monthly.
| Tool | Pricing model | Comment-to-DM on the free plan? | Starting paid price (monthly billing) | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| ManyChat | Per active contact, overage on paid plans | Small, contact-capped free plan | See ManyChat's pricing page | Multichannel businesses, complex flows |
| ReplyRush | Flat tiers by DM allowance | Yes, 1,500 DMs/mo | $10/mo (Lite) | Lowest paid entry, Android users |
| LinkDM | Flat tiers by DM allowance | Yes, 1,000 DMs/mo | $19/mo (Pro) | Live and ad-comment automation |
| CreatorFlow | Flat tiers, optional DM packs | Yes, 500 DMs/mo | $15/mo (Pro) | Trying paid features first |
| Comment Auto Reply (ours) | Flat tiers by DM allowance | Yes, 1,000 auto-DMs/mo | $19/mo (Pro) | iPhone-first solo creators, after launch |
We checked each tool's public pricing page on November 6, 2026. ManyChat's page did not load for us that day, so we left its numbers out rather than repeat older ones. ReplyRush does not publish an annual plan, so the table compares monthly prices for everyone.
ReplyRush: the cheapest way into a paid plan
ReplyRush is the lowest-cost paid option we checked, and its free plan has the biggest DM allowance. Plans run Free at $0 (1,500 DMs a month), Lite at $10 (7,500), Boost at $25 (40,000) and MAX at $100 (400,000). It has iOS and Android apps plus a web dashboard, and plans include Facebook accounts as well as Instagram.
Good at: a generous free tier for testing, a $10 entry plan that adds follow-gated DMs, email collection and a queue for comment spikes, and real mobile apps on both platforms.
Watch out for: the free plan leaves out follow-gate, email collection and that spike queue, so a viral post on free is where it gets thin. The jump from Boost at $25 to MAX at $100 is steep if you outgrow 40,000 DMs, and their pricing page lists monthly prices only. Current tiers are on ReplyRush's pricing page.
LinkDM: strong mid-tier for Live and ads
LinkDM's Pro plan covers a wide range of Instagram surfaces for $19 a month. Free is $0 with 1 Instagram account and 1,000 DMs a month, including post, Reel and Story automation. Pro is $19 a month ($182 a year) for 3 accounts and 25,000 DMs. Platinum+ is $99 a month ($832 a year) for 10 accounts and 300,000 DMs.
Good at: Pro adds Instagram Live automation, ad-comment automation, lead generation, reminder DMs and a public comment reply. If you run ads or go Live often, that is a lot of coverage for one mid-priced plan.
Watch out for: the free plan keeps LinkDM branding on your DMs and leaves out lead generation, so you cannot collect emails until you pay. The next step after Pro is $99, and the DM overflow queue for big spikes sits only on Platinum+. LinkDM is managed through a web dashboard, and we did not find a native iOS app. Current tiers are on LinkDM's pricing page.
CreatorFlow: easy to try, smaller allowances
CreatorFlow is the friendliest to try before you commit: every paid plan starts with a 14-day free trial. Free is $0 with 1 account and 500 DMs a month, with comment-to-DM, story replies and keyword DM replies included. Pro is $15 a month, or $12 a month billed yearly ($144), for 2 accounts and 5,000 DMs per account. Growth is $30 a month, or $24 a month billed yearly ($288), for 5 accounts and 10,000 DMs per account, 50,000 in total.
Good at: clear flat pricing with no per-contact fees, email gate and follow gate on Pro, link tracking, and one-time DM packs (from $5 for 1,000) that never expire if you run over.
Watch out for: 500 free DMs is the smallest free allowance here, and 5,000 per account on Pro is modest for a creator whose Reels travel. When you hit the limit, sending pauses until the reset, an upgrade, or a DM pack. Public replies to comments are paid. Like LinkDM, it is web-based with no native iOS app that we could find. Current tiers are on CreatorFlow's pricing page.
Comment Auto Reply: ours, and not out yet
To be plain about it: this is our product, and the iOS app is launching soon with a waitlist. You cannot download or use it today. Here is what it will cost, so you can compare.
Free is $0: 1 Instagram account, comment-to-DM plus story replies, 1,000 auto-DMs a month, 3 keyword triggers and basic analytics, no card. Pro is $12 a month billed $144 a year, or $19 month to month: 2 accounts, 15,000 auto-DMs, unlimited triggers, follow-gate, email and link capture, link-click tracking and full analytics. Max is $24 a month billed $288 a year, or $39 month to month: 5 accounts, 100,000 auto-DMs, a viral-spike overflow queue and team access. Full details are on the pricing page.
Good at: one job, done from your phone. Flat pricing with a large allowance per dollar: on annual billing our Pro matches CreatorFlow's Pro price and includes 15,000 auto-DMs across 2 accounts, against 5,000 per account there.
Watch out for: it is not available yet, so if you need comment-to-DM this week, pick one of the others. It is iPhone only, with no Android app, and Instagram only, with no Facebook, WhatsApp or email channels. Month to month, Pro costs more than ReplyRush Lite or CreatorFlow Pro. And 3 triggers on the free plan is a testing budget, not a full setup.
ManyChat: the suite you are comparing against
ManyChat is the broadest tool in this list. It covers Instagram, Facebook Messenger, WhatsApp, SMS and email, with a deep flow builder and an iOS app.
Good at: multichannel automation, branching conversations, multi-step sequences and integrations. Nothing else here tries to do all of that.
Watch out for: per-active-contact billing with overage on paid plans means your bill moves with your reach. The free plan is small, and the flow builder is a real learning curve if you only want keyword replies. ManyChat pricing lists current tiers and contact limits.
How do I choose the right ManyChat alternative?
Pick based on your situation, not the longest feature list.
You are a solo creator posting Reels from your phone. You want a free plan that includes comment-to-DM, a mobile app, and a flat price. ReplyRush is the one to use today if you want the cheapest paid step and an app. LinkDM and CreatorFlow work well too if you are happy setting things up at a desk. If you are on iPhone and can wait, join our waitlist. Our guide to free Instagram auto-DM tools goes deeper on the free tiers.
You run a business across several channels. If customers reach you on WhatsApp, Messenger and email as well as Instagram, a single tool for all of it is worth paying for. That is ManyChat's home turf. The comment-to-DM tools here are Instagram-first, and ReplyRush and LinkDM add Facebook at most.
You sell products and expect spikes. Look hardest at what happens during a surge. ReplyRush has a queue for excess DMs from its $10 plan. LinkDM puts its overflow queue on Platinum+. CreatorFlow lets you buy DM packs, and our Max plan includes an overflow queue. Price out your busiest realistic month, not your average one.
Whatever you pick, the rules are Meta's, not the tool's. You need an Instagram professional account (Business or Creator), and comment-to-DM allows one private reply per comment, sent within 7 days. A different tool does not change those limits.
When is staying on ManyChat the right call?
Stay on ManyChat if you genuinely use what it does beyond Instagram comments. That means automation across several channels, flows with branches and conditions, or a team that already knows the builder well. Switching costs time, and rebuilding complex flows elsewhere may not be possible at all.
It is also fine to stay if your contact count is steady and the bill never surprises you. Switching pays off most when comment-to-DM is the main thing you use ManyChat for and your reach swings month to month.
Quick answers
What is the cheapest ManyChat alternative for comment-to-DM?
Of the tools we checked, ReplyRush Lite at $10 a month is the lowest monthly paid plan. If you can live within a free allowance, ReplyRush (1,500 DMs), LinkDM (1,000), CreatorFlow (500) and our free plan (1,000, once launched) all include comment-to-DM at $0.
Which ManyChat alternative has the best free plan?
ReplyRush has the largest free DM allowance at 1,500 a month, with comment-to-DM included. The trade-off is that follow-gate and email collection are paid. LinkDM's free plan and ours sit at 1,000 DMs a month, and CreatorFlow's at 500.
Will switching from ManyChat get my Instagram account banned?
Changing tools is not what gets accounts restricted. Cold or mass outreach is. Use a tool on Instagram's official API, only DM people who commented, and remember Meta's rule for every tool: one private reply per comment, within 7 days.
Can I use Comment Auto Reply right now?
No. The iOS app is not on the App Store yet. You can join the waitlist on our site, and we will tell you when it launches.
Do these tools work with a personal Instagram account?
No. Instagram's API requires a professional account, either Business or Creator. Switching is free and takes about two minutes in Instagram's settings.
