These terms are written in plain language so they are easy to follow. They are not legal advice. If anything here affects a decision that matters to you, talk to your own lawyer.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Comment Auto Reply app, or by using this website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the app or the site. If you use Comment Auto Reply on behalf of a business, you confirm you have the authority to accept these terms for that business.

2. What the service is

Comment Auto Reply is a native iOS app that auto-replies to Instagram comments with a direct message. The mechanic is simple: you set a keyword, a viewer comments that keyword on your post or reel, and the app sends them one DM through Instagram's official API. This website markets the app and provides information, pricing, and supporting tools.

Together, the app and this website are what we call "the service" throughout this page.

3. Eligibility

You must be at least the minimum age required to hold an Instagram account in your country and old enough to enter a binding agreement where you live. To use the core comment-to-DM features, you need an Instagram professional account, either Business or Creator. Personal Instagram accounts cannot use the Instagram API, so they cannot use those features. Switching to a professional account is free and takes about two minutes inside Instagram.

4. Acceptable use

You are responsible for how you use the service and for everything you send through it. You agree not to:

  • Send unsolicited or mass messages to people who have not taken an action that triggers a reply. Automated DMs are allowed only in response to a user-initiated action, such as a comment, story reply, mention, or a DM the user sends you first.
  • Use the service to send spam, scams, harassment, hateful content, or anything illegal.
  • Attempt to bypass Instagram's rate limits or messaging windows, or to reverse engineer, interfere with, or disrupt the service.
  • Resell or sublicense access to the service without our written permission.
  • Use the service to violate the rights of others, including privacy and intellectual property rights.

We may suspend or end access for anyone who breaks these rules.

5. Instagram, the API, and Meta's terms

The service connects to Instagram through Instagram's official API. Your use of Instagram is governed by Instagram's and Meta's own terms and policies, and you agree to follow them in addition to these terms. That includes Instagram's rules on messaging and automation, which limit how and when automated replies can be sent.

Instagram controls its API and can change, limit, or remove access at any time. If Instagram changes its platform, policies, or limits, some features may change or stop working, and that is outside our control.

6. No affiliation with Instagram or Meta

Comment Auto Reply is an independent product. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or otherwise associated with Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. Instagram is a trademark of Meta Platforms, Inc. We reference Instagram only to describe how our app works with it.

7. Your account and content

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure and for the keywords, messages, links, and other content you set up in the app. You keep ownership of your content. You grant us the limited permission needed to operate the service, such as storing your settings and sending the messages you configure on your behalf.

8. Pricing and plans

Plan details and prices are shown on our pricing page and inside the app. Purchases made through the app are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms, including how refunds are handled. We may change prices for future billing periods, and we will give notice before any change takes effect.

9. Service provided "as is"

The service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error free, or that every message will be delivered, since delivery depends on Instagram's API, your account standing, and factors outside our control. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Comment Auto Reply and its operators will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim arose.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the app grows or as the law requires. When we make a material change, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, give notice in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
